Pasta Basta is such a simple and exciting concept I am not sure why is has not caught on in the Western world.

Pick one of 8 pastas, add one of 10 sauces and top it off with one of three categories of toppings (all that vary the pricing), and voila, dinner is served.

The pasta is fresh and there are gluten free and vegetable options. The sauces are hot and yummy and you do not have to wait long to get your food. Customizing the toppings make it even more, ‘your way.’

If you go to Pasta Basta you will always have crowds of people, you will get a steaming hot bowl of pasta and it will surprise you how delicious it is and how simple the process and concept is.

While not something that is a MUST DO on a particular trip, it is fun and easy and with kids in tow, allows them the flexibility of simple pasta in a new and upbeat environment. The Jerusalem location is in the shuk, allowing for exciting desserts and lots of eye candy as well.
