Who comes to Israel to eat fish? Well, if eating at Deca, I do!

Deca is an upscale (for Israel – you can still wear shorts or jeans) restaurant with a beautiful ambience. Situated on a quiet street with a garden entrance, Deca will delight you from the moment you walk in, to the impressive wine selection to the delectable menu, especially the fish.

This dairy restaurant boasts a mixture of some Mediterranean flavors with fish that would otherwise seem bland. But, not here.

The mixed grill fish with scorched eggplant sauce is a fantastic starter to rev up the engines. The tuna sashimi is A-grade and delicious too!

For mains, the duet of tuna and salmon is pricey, but delicious. The white Locus is fantastic and unique to the Mediterranean. Lavrak (white flaky fish) and the sea bass are fantastic and unique to the region as well. The spices and presentation are over the top, making each entrée look like a personal masterpiece. The service is wonderful and the wine pairings are unique and worthy.

Because it is a dairy restaurant, the desserts are kicked up a notch from adding milk. I would recommend the chocolate mousse.

Betayavon!
