A delectable secret oasis in San Simon

Cafe Oranim, recommended by cousin Susan, was a great find. Located in the corner of San Simon near the Goldstein Youth Village, this cafe seems like it belongs in the Galilee or near Yotvata. It has tons of outdoor and indoor space and even a space to sit on the faux grass and for the kids to frolic! The space did not feel like classic Jerusalem eateries but, it was great. Perhaps it was the retractable roof that brought images of the great sports stadiums and Sukkot and allows the weather outside to be optimized by those inside!

One you get to the menu, there are plenty of yum options. This location has some opinionated servers who did not pause when I asked for suggestions. The Yaffa Toast was a perfect blend of cheeses and flavors. The Caprese salad was presented with beauty. The pizza is a hand-made dough, thin crust and topped to your pleasing.

Oranim will not change your world or ignite your palate, but if you want some space in a fantastic space, try this oasis in San Simon!
