The place to go for appetizing and Shabbat yummies!
Making grilled eggplant is not too hard. Anyone with a grill, some mayonnaise and spices can do it. But, few do it as well at Zidkiyahu. And, why bother trying when they do it so very well.
If there is a form of Israeli salad you enjoy, mushrooms and onions, hummus, 3 kinds of tehina, at least 9 varieties of eggplants and the best hummus in Israel, go to Zidkiyahu. To go with those salads, you can get your very best stuffed onions, grape leaves, Jerusalem Kugel, stuffed artichoke and many more yummies.
There are now 5 locations of Zidkiyahu, but my favorite is on Emek with Ayman Ayyad’s warm embrace. The original location is at rthe entry of the main shuk, and is tiny. The Eyn Hakarem location is roomy and stunning. It makes the eats even more tasty!
