Oui Oui to Dor’e

Moulin Dore is a fitting namesake to my beloved (though spelled differently).

It is sophisticated, sweet, delicate and a memorable encounter.

This French patisserie is plucked right out of the left bank of the Seine. It displays fantastic and dainty pastries that look too good to eat, along with finger bites of food, quiche and drinks.

The bread game is serious here. Not only shabbat challot - sweet and salty - and fresh baguettes, but also all types of brioche and small breads and croissants and rolls to enjoy.

There is a reason so many French people are skinny - small portions. So too, here! But, the desserts are rich and tasty.

They have multiple locations and all of the tasty things are made in their factory in Netanya, where they have 2 stores. There is another location in Ra’anana and 2 more in Jerusalem. Our encounter was on Emek Refaim in the heart of the “happenings” of the German Colony.

Minimal seating is available for this place which diminishes its French vibes of relaxing and enjoying a shtikel of strudel and espresso.

Still, it is worth the stop at this great patisserie!
