Many skip this restaurant because it is dairy. Word to the wise: Don’t! It is excellent. The breakfasts are thoughtful and yummy, especially the shakshuka and the gauda toast. When choosing launch or dinner, the fish shwarma is unique and inviting. The ceviche is toothsome and the carpaccio will not disappoint. Most of the fish are native to the region, which frankly is exactly what you want in a fish restaurant. I don not eat salmon in Thailand and do not eat lake trout in Alaska! Thus, aim for the St Peter’s fish, the Lavkra or the filet sea bream.

For the non fish eater, the cream sauce on the linguine is rich and delectable. The views are open to many but not all, but the location cannot be beat either, found on the upper level of the Mamilla mall. Dairy desserts are an added bonus that will top off a delicious meal.

Service is strong and never so crowded (except for during the 9 days) that you feel no room for your elbows. The décor is done tastefully and only enhances the culinary experience.

Eating at Happy Fish makes happy people.
