A wholly and holy French patisserie in the heart of Jerusalem.

After the Six Day War, Israel gained the Sinai, the West Bank, the Gaza Strip and it gave birth to a small cafe called Kadosh. For 54 years since, this French influenced patisserie  located in the city center, has offered delicious breakfasts, lunches and dinners and authentic French desserts.

Kadosh has no identity crisis. It is Parisian in every form and function. The freshness of the vegetables, the flakiness of the breads and the the waiters inability to smirk at silly one-liners make this a solid go-to for catching up with friends or some prime people watching.

Some items to consider when dining at Kadosh include the beet latkes, the croissant sandwich with artichoke and portobello mushrooms topped with fried eggs, and the potato gnocchi, made by hand.

The best part of this place is the desserts. They are intricate, elaborate, buttery, high in calories and carbs but most of all, delicious.

We tried a few of the best sellers (chocolate croissants, pecan and apple brioche and ricotta cake) and each one was better than the next.  Make your reservations early on Hanukkah because the sufganiyot (doughnuts) are the best in town.

If you want a place to have tea and scrumptious desserts, look no further. Eating at Kadosh will lift you off your heels!

Enjoy!
